October 2026 Flight Prices — RT Economy to TPE (June 8)
Aggregator data (Expedia, KAYAK, momondo, airline direct) as of early June 2026. October floors are rising as the booking window advances and peak-season inventory fills. Compared to May 25 check:
| Hub | Jun 8 Range (RT Economy) | vs May 25 |
|---|---|---|
| LAX | $800–$1,100 | ~flat |
| SFO | $850–$1,150 | ~flat |
| SEA | $950–$1,250 | floor ↑ from $795 |
| JFK | $900–$1,300 | ~flat |
| IAD | $1,000–$1,400 | ~flat |
| IAH | $1,100–$1,500 | floor ↑ from $880 |
| LHR | $780–$1,100 | floor ↑ from ~$496 |
| AMS | $850–$1,150 | floor ↑ from $587 |
| FRA | $850–$1,150 | floor ↑ from $600 |
EU-hub floor compression from the May 25 report ($496–$607 range) to $780–$850+ reflects two factors: disappearance of low-inventory promotional fares and October demand spike windows (Double Tenth Oct 9–11, Taiwan Pride Oct 29–Nov 1). China Airlines AMS/FRA fleet swap to 777-300ER Sep 1–Oct 24 remains in effect; A350-900 resumes Oct 25.
Thailand / Brunei / Philippines — 14-Day Visa-Free: Expiry Risk
Based on past Taiwan MOFA/BOCA patterns: renewal announcement expected mid-to-late June 2026 (6–8 weeks before Aug 1 start for a new cycle).
If Taiwan breaks from pattern and does not renew, these nationals require visas for October 2026 travel — affects inbound tourism demand and group tour availability.
Separate programs not at risk: Guanhong Project (group e-visa) and Simplified Visa SEA group tourist programs extended through Dec 31, 2026. The 14-day individual visa-free specifically is the expiring item. Watch for a BOCA press release in June.
STARLUX JFK — Still Unconfirmed
No DOT filing, no formal launch announcement as of June 8. STARLUX's current long-haul priority is the Prague (TPE-PRG) route launching August 1, 2026. JFK service is expected no earlier than 2027 as A350-1000 deliveries continue. Booking engine inventory noted previously is not a confirmed service.
